@reussae@MeteoKenya FASTA forecasts extreme weather (storms). Light rain is not visible to the satellite, so it will not show.
The FASTA app is designed to identify storm activity over the next 1-2 hours, to help you to make short-term decisions to minimise damage, avoid disruption, and stay safe

This will be used to train students on satellite data interpretation and nowcasting
The majority of Kenya is expected to experience rain this week, as predicted by @MeteoKenya
The FASTA app can assist you in making quick decisions that will minimize disruption, prevent damage, and keep you safe.
The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valleys, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the Coast, and north-eastern Kenya are among the regions of the country where rain is likely. Download link https://t.co/v9l5lCzKQz.
For instance, being aware of an impending storm could give you enough time to:
- cover crop harvests
- delay spraying crops with pricey pesticides that might wash away
- inform a revised transport schedule to avoid delays
- avoid fishing in potentially fatal conditions
