The discourse around Pulisic the last couple days has been ridiculous:
- Nations League winning goal vs MEX in 2021
- World Cup winning goal vs Iran to send us through
- Brace vs MEX in 2023 Nations League semis
- hat trick vs PAN in WCQ to clinch our spot in the World Cup
If you’re an American who has been loving this World Cup, find the closest MLS and/or USL team to you and support it.
I’m not saying you have to go to games, but try to watch them on TV if not. Follow their socials, push the product, introduce friends and family.
The game will not continue to grow here if we don’t support our own.
If you hate MLS, support a USL club. They are introducing Pro/Rel soon, if you want change to MLS, this succeeding is the key.
If you are new to the sport in general, I recommend also following a European team in England, Italy, Spain or Germany. Pick a team and watch them every weekend morning if you can! Watching the top leagues will only help your understanding of the game and all the intricacies.
One of the most fun parts for me is tracking USA players overseas at all the different clubs. Once you’re in, you’re hooked. ⚽️🇺🇸

My debut World Cup… it hurts to wait 4 years to compete at the highest level our sport has to offer. I want to say sorry to our fans it was not good enough when it mattered most and we let you down
Soccer in America will only become bigger the belief, the talent, and the passion is continually growing and I know the best days are in front of us, the future belongs to those who never stop believing, this moment will fuel us. We will be back
Why not us?
For the nation. For the flag.

I know it’s hard but don’t be discouraged usmnt nation we’ve already made history in so many ways. our team is still so young. this is just the start I promise
the pulisic disrespect is so sad. the guy has been carrying the sport in this nation since he was a teenager. it didnt end the way we wanted but everyone looked horrific last night. I hate how easily we forget everything he’s done and the player he is
US soccer won’t be good until you stop charging little kids thousands to play travel ball. You’re not getting the best athletes into soccer that way. It’s the same crowd as lacrosse and hockey at this point.
Attention all North American Soccer fans! Here is a map of all the teams you can support domestically!

If this loss hurts, don’t let your passion end.
Support your local soccer club. Fill the stands. Watch the games. Bring your friends. Help make soccer part of everyday sports culture in the United States.
The more people who care, the more the game grows. More investment. More coverage. More opportunities for young players to be discovered. More kids choosing soccer because they can see a future in it.
The next generation of World Cup stars won’t appear by accident. We have to build the environment that helps create them.

The Pulisic hate is going a bit too far.
He deserves all the criticism he will get for last night’s game. Call him soft, call him a quitter, made of glass, say he shrunk. All valid takes on last night.
Overall he is far from the reason we lost. We lost because our midfield and defense got shredded. Our goalkeeper is amateur level at best.
Pulisic is the face of the team and over commercialized so he will get the brunt of it. We have way bigger issues than him, and our expectations of him are just too high. He’s not world class, he is a very good player who has fell short of his potential thus far.
