🤫 Year 7 Banksy Project 🤫

Our Year 7 Art students have been studying the controversial artist Banksy this term. 🎨They have enjoyed creating Banksy themed stencils and graffiti style writing. 😃

As it was World Space Week @WSW_UK last week, Mr Barnes has challenged our students to:
1. find the North star
2. look at the Milky Way on a dark night
3. read a book about space
4. find out more about DART (@NASA's double asteroid redirection test)

A group of Year 7 students visited the community allotment on Walney this week to take part in an environmental art project. 🌳

Our science staff and students were amazed by the structure of DNA on #DNADay2022 this week. Students have learnt about James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin who first published their research into the structure of DNA nearly 70 years ago!
