The #FBI has issued a #PSA to warn the public that cyber threat actors are conducting spoofing attacks against the FIFA website in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A spoofed website is designed to pose as a legitimate website, with branding and product listings, but malicious actors use them to further their illegal activity like personal information theft and to facilitate monetary scams.

The FBI's Milwaukee Area Safe Streets Task Force (MASSTF) worked with the Milwaukee Police Department's (MPD) District 2 Violent Crime Reduction Team, MPD District 4, MPD District 6, and MPD Criminal Investigative Division in the arrest of a suspected Latin Kings gang member following a traffic stop which was followed by multiple residential search warrants.
Items seized from the residences included cocaine, fentanyl, a Glock firearm, body armor, and other illegal drugs.

FBI Milwaukee is assisting UW Police in Madison with the unsolved 1968 death of UW student Christine “Chris” Rothschild.
She was found murdered next to Sterling Hall on the UW-Madison Campus on May 28, 1968.

Jeremiah Tyler, 22, of Milwaukee, was sentenced to 16½ years in federal prison yesterday for committing nine robberies in the Milwaukee area in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
According to court records, between July 18, 2025, and August 18, 2025, Tyler brandished a weapon while committing six of the nine robberies in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
This case was investigated by the FBI’s Milwaukee Area Violent Crime Task Force which consists of the Milwaukee Police Department, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, the Wauwatosa Police Department, the Mequon Police Department, the West Allis Police Department, the Oak Creek Police Department and the Germantown Police Department, with assistance provided by the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

FBI Milwaukee's Eau Claire and Wausau Resident Agencies arrested 32-year-old Alejandra Sanchez-Cuaquehua with the assistance of @ICEgov today in Ridgeland, Wisconsin.
She is wanted for a 2025 murder in Mexico and was arrested for illegal reentry in the Western District of Wisconsin on a criminal complaint.
Sanchez-Cuaquehua made her initial appearance on the illegal reentry charge in federal court in Madison. Following the hearing, she was taken into custody by @ICEgov to be returned to Mexico.
The charge against Sanchez-Cuaquehua was the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI Milwaukee, the Barron County Sheriff’s Office, @ICEgov, @EROChicago and other international law enforcement partners.

Gabriel Lebron Mejia, 27, Beloit, Wisconsin, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in federal prison for possessing 100 grams or more of heroin intended for distribution and maintaining a drug trafficking premises in the Western District of Wisconsin.
According to court records, following Mejia's arrest law enforcement officers found drugs inside a hidden compartment in his vehicle's glove box and drugs, cash, ammunition and a 9mm handgun in his apartment.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI Milwaukee's Madison Resident Agency, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the ATF Madison Crime Gun Task Force, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Beloit Police Department.

Bradley D. Hounsell, 44, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for using the internet to coerce and entice a minor to engage in unlawful sexual conduct on Thursday in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
According to court documents, Hounsell requested a person in the Philippines to sexually abuse a child and record the abuse as well as requesting additional images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children.

Supervisory Special Agent Gregory J. Rahoi was accidentally shot and fatally wounded on December 6, 2006, during a live-fire tactical training exercise in Virginia designed to prepare FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) personnel for their deployments to Iraq.
Prior to joining the FBI in 1997, Rahoi worked as a firefighter, paramedic, and police officer in Wisconsin.

Eight individuals have been sentenced in the Eastern District of Wisconsin for their roles in a fentanyl trafficking organization operating in Green Bay.
According to court records, the defendants operated a large-scale drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing more than 175,000 fentanyl pills across multiple states. Members of the group displayed large amounts of cash and luxury items on social media while promoting their music and public image.
Seven of the eight defendants pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, while one individual was found guilty following a jury trial.
This case was investigated by FBI Milwaukee's Green Bay Resident Agency, the Brown County Drug Task Force, the Dakota County (Minnesota) Drug Task Force, the MSP Airport Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Green Bay Resident Office and Phoenix Division.
