Meet 2026 GEMS Education #GlobalTeacherPrize finalist, Ewa Stefania Drobek! 🌟

Ewa is one of Poland’s most highly awarded educators, transforming language education into a powerful tool for empathy, inclusion, and global citizenship. Over her 25-year career, she has earned major national and international honours, including:

🏅 UNESCO Award (2017)
🏅 English Teacher of the Year (2018)
🏅 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Finalist (2020)
🏅 Best Mentor for Young Public Speakers (2025)

Her students—who have nominated her for many of these accolades—achieve exceptional results: 95% enter university, and 40% study abroad. Ewa is the author of 76 professional articles, co-author of two educational e-books translated into 12 languages, and a mentor for Poland’s leading education foundations.

She leads two flagship national projects:
🎶 “Żmichowska Sings” – 7 albums, 354 concerts, reaching 50,000+ audience members
🎭 “Theatre Rover” – cultivating emotional expression and cultural literacy

Her innovative teaching methods are now used in 145 schools across Poland.

Above all, Ewa is celebrated for inclusive education, supporting disabled students, refugees, and children facing illness or trauma, while shaping globally minded, compassionate young citizens.
