#Ethiopia, being an upstream country, provides water to downstream countries like #Egypt. Even while facing its own struggles with recurring droughts and famines, Ethiopia contributes water to the Nile river system that has a tremendous economic value, estimated to be around $60 billion per year. This is provided without financial compensation, which reflects a substantial generosity on Ethiopia's part. It also emphasizes the need for equitable water resource management that recognizes Ethiopia's right to benefit from its own natural resources.
The main issue is absence of agreement on sharing the #Nile with #Ethiopia.
Egypt knows Ethiopia will not even settle for 1/3 of #BlueNile flow as its quota (16 BCM) in a fair & rational agreement. Note that 2nd filling is less than #Ethiopia's quota.
Kenya's President William Ruto limits foreign trips for Government Officials to only 45 days per year.
No official will be allowed to stay abroad for over 7 days in a row.
@RenaissanceDam Exactly! How much is #Ethiopia's share and what it intends to do with it must be clear.
#Ethiopia has lost already to #Egypt in many aspects.
One of the major failures of @AbiyAhmedAli@PMEthiopia is ignoring #CFA and falling for #Egypt's unilateral negotiation multiple times regarding #GERD dam. @nbiweb@nile_basin

#Ethiopia is currently not using its share of #BlueNile in an #Equitalbe manner. Therefore, it is already significantly affected (See FACTs #numbers below).
Yet, @AbiyAhmedAli claims the 4th filling will be conducted in a manner that will not affect #Egypt's share ?? of #Nile.
