Great to see @FEMA_Cam testifying before @HouseAppropsGOP today. Cameron served four overseas deployments as a Navy SEAL operator and has a distinguished service record. He has done a fantastic job at FEMA and I look forward to working with his office more as @HomelandGOP continues to provide oversight on state and local preparedness and disaster response efforts.
In her first 100 days, @Sec_Noem traveled to North Carolina and Kentucky to hear directly from survivors. The American people need FEMA to work faster and more efficiently to meet their needs. We are changing how things operate and reforming our policies to do just that.
We welcomed Cameron Hamilton, Senior Official Performing the Duties of @fema Administrator, alongside his team at FEMA HQ and @femaregion2 to see firsthand the status of recovery, ongoing projects and what are some of the needs that still need to be met as we approach hurricane season. I am pleased and encouraged to hear of the willingness to cut red tape and expedite work responsibly and efficiently. Proud to continue our partnership with FEMA and the Trump administration to tackle the challenges ahead.
Today, Region 6 was honored to host Senior Official Performing the Duties of the @FEMA Administrator, @FEMA_Cam. He reaffirmed FEMA’s commitment to operational excellence, mission readiness, and strong community partnerships. #FEMARegion6#EmergencyManagement
It was an honor to visit and connect with @FEMARegion5, @FEMARegion6, and @FEMARegion7 this week. These teams provided valuable insight into the disasters their states experience and how we can support state and local preparedness and response efforts.
Our work is about people, and more specifically, people helping people in their most challenging moments. Together, we can answer the call for change and be a part of building a more prepared, ready, and secure nation for generations to come.
This week, @FEMA_Cam spoke at the National Hurricane Conference, reflecting on the 20-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the lessons learned as we prepare for the 2025 hurricane season.

I'm in West Virginia this week to check on response efforts following the recent flooding. I met with our logistics team who are assuring we have what we need, when we need it to support communities' recovery.
I met with local officials, business owners & survivors about the ongoing recovery efforts in Florida yesterday with @RepKatCammack & other @FEMA staff. While I saw devastation to property & infrastructure, I also saw the whole-of-community working together to help Floridians.
I had the privilege to meet face-to-face with survivors in Florida yesterday to hear firsthand about their experiences as they rebuild from devastating hurricanes. I ensure we at @fema will continue to meet the needs of these communities throughout their recovery process.
Congratulations to @Troy_Edgar on his confirmation and swearing in as Deputy Secretary of @DHSgov. Troy is a man of character and dedication, and @POTUS could not have chosen anyone better. It’s an honor to work under him.
I'm in Kentucky, meeting with survivors & first responders to assess the flood damage & ensure communities get the support they need.
Grateful to @POTUS for approving a major disaster declaration, and @Sec_Noem's leadership, allowing survivors to apply for assistance as we work towards a swift recovery.
Starting now, I have directed a review of the grants and funding that @FEMA provides to nonprofit organizations.
Survivors and communities impacted by disasters are and will continue to be our main priority.
