This is the right decision by @DHSgov to protect our federal civilian networks from the national security risks posed by these PRC-built AI models, especially as China works by any means necessary to take a decisive lead in the global AI race.

Make no mistake––DeepSeek advanced its models' capabilities through unauthorized, industrial-scale distillation from leading U.S. systems. The models pose clear data security risks and even censor information unfavorable to the Chinese Communist Party. It is common sense for our government agencies to use safer alternatives.
