1/ Three local models on a Mac mini handle the volume in my setup: press, emails, notes, documents. Parsing, enrichment, search.
Everything they produce gets stored in local databases.
Opus 4.7 only shows up at the end, on curated context.
24GB of RAM. Cost of electricity. Here's the architecture.
From the outside it looks insane.
In Switzerland we have a decent solution. Private, but compulsory. The compulsory part is regulated so price doesn't go out of control. Doctors still make a lot of money. Insurance companies compete.
It's the best middle ground I've seen between crazy US and unsustainable EU.
Obviously a joke, but not far from reality for many people.
That is why I'm bullish on headless software and APIs. Build with AI, but use the available bricks.
@TimurNegru I'm curious about how you use AI in your biz. Being in RE too, I feel augmented, but the really big things still depend on a relationship or deep knowledge no model is giving me... yet.
A soft launch is price discovery. Release quietly with little marketing. Let the first buyers tell you where the market is.
Ran one this week on a small development in Toledo. It moved fast.
Fast with no push isn't automatically good. It either means the price is light or the product is right. Worth knowing which before you celebrate.
@shawngorham You weren’t wrong, you’re playing a different game.
Preservation goes first. One bad deal wipes out many good ones.
Gambling repeatedly always ends in the same way.
@TimurNegru Yeah, this is very jurisdiction dependent. But I just found in the thread that someone said I can do this with IBRK in Switzerland. We all got a solution, thanks!
