The Secretarait of the @AGA_Platform participated in a workshop on Harnessing Religious Leadership for Sustainable Peace in Africa organized at the @AfricanUnionCom by @FFOP_org in line with the implementation of Agenda 2063 to build the Africa we want and the Africa we deserve.
Keynote speaker, Dr Francis Kuria Kagema, Secretary General of @Religions4Peace, spoke on the impact of multifaith peacebuilding across sectors, including practical examples where faith leaders and communities have been able to enact change environmental change across the globe.
Discussion highlighted how faith communities can support refugees from areas of conflict and the importance of climate resilience as a preventative measure against conflict. From this conference we produced policy recommendations for those working in conflict-prone regions.

Going Further, Faster Together, for Climate Action
In October, FFOP and @WiltonPark launched Global Multi-faith Women-led Climate Action Network event. We were joined by women of diverse faiths, climate activists, youth and indigenous representatives, and committed allies.
