My brother @EthanFBoley and I have been wondering if the Chicago Bears sucking has led to more crime in Chicago. Well, I did the math:
Since 2004, the Chicago Bears being terrible at football has contributed to 837 excess homicides in the City of Chicago.
Methodology below ⬇️
Bears have a superstar, video game cover, Michael J. Fox-endorsed QB.
Because of that they’ll have a chance in every single game they play with him under center.
I don’t care where those games are.
I’ve never had an issue paying players- above or under the table. It is what is. But you can’t bet on your own sport & team as a CFB player. That sets a very dangerous precedent. No other way to say it. I’m not saying he can’t have an NFL career but there has to be some meaningful punishment here.
Think of this stadium situation as a Dunkin’ race, folks. Another attention-grabbing lead change. For sure. But the finish line isn’t even on the scoreboard yet.
@UnderdogNFL@theo_mackie@adamlevitan not sure if you hired your niche trends guy, but would be very curious to see if there’s any validity behind these “XYZ guy will play ABC role in offense” reports
