@ProfBrianCox Over in the UK for a few days, watched with Mum. She said she'd be off to bed, but after the opening credits she was hooked. Wonderful & awesome, thank you. Wish BBC did an iplayer subscription service, I might have to stay here for the whole series.

@Lynn_Nothegger Battenberg is quite easy to make, just fiddly. Have also just shown this pic to husband with a subtle hint about making it for my birthday
@MatthewLBishop Last year I flew to Manchester a lot because of a sick relative. This year I get to fly to Birmingham for the same reason and I can assure you BHX is even worse, amazingly. And I'm only time travelling from European airports. How any of the management sleep at night I don't know
@thefempire50@james_j_bailey Reminds me of the time we sold some 2m tall Bookshelves (dimensions in ad). Buyer texted me morning of to ask if I thought they would fit in her Clio. I'd already said multiple times to make sure she had a big enough car to fit them
@youngvulgarian Agree. I nabbed a few things from my Aunt and am still mourning the 60s made to measure in Hong Kong silk dresses my Mum insisted on charity shopping a few years ago. Her argument was that I would never fit in them. My argument was oh so pretty
Coincidentally, on the morning that this Times article/puff piece appeared advocating paid-for wild camping as a βsolutionβ to the Right to Roam, I woke up in a tent next on Dartmoor: the only place in England that free wild camping is still (just about) legal.
Here are some of my thoughts on why βpaywalling natureβ is not an answerβ¦
@wylfcen Chose Ancient Greek over German at school because "you can always learn German". Currently learning Welsh, want to learn Basque and Finnish, although I work with a Finn so technically not useless
@Lynn_Nothegger Lol my husband was scandalised that my British family don't rince as well. Now I have been trained to rinse and I don't know what I think anymore π
