We are proud to announce the successful inauguration of the first Mission Shakti Training Centre in Kandhamal, Odisha, a meaningful step towards empowering women at the grassroots level. 💪✨

The centre was inaugurated by District Magistrate Shri Vedbhushan, who encouraged SHG women to actively participate in skill development, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance initiatives.

This initiative aims to become a hub for capacity building, livelihood enhancement, and financial inclusion unlocking sustainable growth opportunities for women in the region.

FICSI conducted a ToT/ToA Programme – Assistant Baking Technician at College of Food Technology, VNMKV, Parbhani from 16–18 Dec 2025.

From raw material selection & equipment readiness to hands-on baking of bread, cookies & buns, participants gained strong practical exposure through pilot bakery plant sessions.

The Training of Trainers(TOT) Program on Multiskill Technician – Food Processing held from 3rd to 5th November 2025 at the College of Food Technology, LITU, Nagpur, offered an engaging blend of theory and practical learning.

Participants explored key concepts in food processing, followed by extensive hands-on sessions in Bakery and Fruits & Vegetables Processing. They prepared plain and coconut cookies, sponge cakes in chocolate and tutti-frutti flavours, along with fresh pineapple juice and squash, gaining valuable insights into ingredient selection, accurate measurements, and product preparation techniques. 👩‍🍳🍍

Under the PepsiCo – FICSI CSR Project, SHG's and FPO women are being trained in Millet (Shri Anna) Processing and FOSTAC – Food Safety Certification, equipping them with essential skills to become future-ready food entrepreneurs.

This initiative supports India’s Shri Anna Millet Mission, promoting nutrition, sustainability and livelihood development. Through hands-on training, women are learning how to process, preserve and add value to millet-based products while ensuring 100% food safety compliance as per FSSAI standards.

This program not only enhances their skill and employability but also empowers them to launch micro-enterprises and contribute to the millet revolution across India.
