Wow...
@PB__Community took over $100k from the company behind the Aliso Canyon disaster (WORST methane leak in US history) but complained about pollution from Whiteman Airport all the while.
As I do more research, the truth about Pacoima Beautiful is becoming clear.
@latimes@Sammy_Roth It's interesting how Pacoima Beautiful felt in 2016 it was ok for residents in the northern SFV to be poisoned by SoCalGas' #AlisoCanyon. See attached letter for docket 16-IEPR-02 in favor of reopening the hazardous site, that blew particulate matter to Pacoima, too.
@LaDonaDelValle In fairness to Monica Rodriguez, she couldn't deal with all of that because she was busy with hardcore work like...replacing two signs and calling it "upgrades" for CD7.
Within a few business years, the area might even get something extravagant like a traffic light or something!
I hadn’t heard Horvath mention Pacoima once—until after my video (see attached) - you have to admit it’s a great video even @adamcarolla reposted it!
Then, after the tragic plane crash near Whiteman Airport, suddenly it became her “top priority.”
Top priority for what? Horvath doesn’t control Southern California Edison or a private business parking lot. Let’s be honest—that post was political theater.
And now, suddenly, a food event in Pacoima?
@LaDonaDelValle@MRodCD7 Monica Rodriguez was all in favor of underground wiring last year in the aftermath of the fires too.
All of a sudden, safety is too expensive...I guess it might cut into the 'photo-op' budget. Priorities!
After an airplane accident in Pacoima, @MRodCD7 was encouraged to implement changes like underground wiring for aviation and fire safety.
Rather than push for safety, she derided the idea and blamed the victim:

“L.A. Mayor Karen Bass’ office had a ‘big role’ in the city’s process that recommended this property and two others for the government grants, according to an email…”
Monica Rodriguez appears to be 'revising' her history again:
In a recent response to a public comment, @MRodCD7 insisted she has "always enjoyed the support of the men and women of the LAPD."
Footage from 2020 shows something...rather different.
Video posted of LAPD officers outraged over proposed cuts following protests addressing LA City Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez. “Now you’re cutting from their families and they put everything on the line? We are going to fight… At the ballot box.” @CBSLA@CBSNews
Civilian Oversight Commission chairman says his commission "will not be gagged" after L.A. County issues surprise order requiring oversight officials get county sign-off on many public statements, social media posts & even contacts with county supervisors. https://t.co/mmyfkuFjfP
Recall in CD 6 would require about 17.8k signatures (plus a cushion for sigs that will be invalidated) from voters w/in the district over 120 days.

@SoquelCreek@jenvanlaar Further background:
Nury Martinez & Imelda Padilla are both affiliated with the NGO Pacoima Beautiful.
Before entering the City Council, Martinez led PB & Imelda was a PB staffer (later, Imelda was a Martinez CC deputy)
Veronica Padilla-Campos (Imelda's sister) now heads PB
In case you were planning to go swimming this weekend to stay cool…
Most Los Angeles County beaches have high levels of feces in the water and no swim orders
Is this how Los Angeles City Council members treat their constituents?
Councilmember Imelda Padilla used her public platform to personally target and verbally attack residents.

LA City Councilmember Imelda Padilla is at it again!
This time she's attacking local residents for daring to speak their voices...

LA City Councilors' conduct during public comment days ago drew controversy.
This reply from Monica Rodriguez' staff *is* true & demonstrates the problem.
@MRodCD7 staff defend disregarding the public by boasting about a few photos.
Those📸aren't the flex they think they are.
