The @FIFAWorldCup is about to show the world something Americans already knew... ⚽️
Some of our high school sports facilities are ridiculous.
Spain is training at the @baylorschool.
Morocco is training at the @ThePingrySchool.
Switzerland is at the San Diego Jewish Academy (@SDJALions).
Croatia is at @EpiscopalHS.
We’re talking about campuses with:
- Multiple soccer fields
- Grass and turf surfaces
- Private athletic entrances
- Media center conversions
- Expanded training areas
- Upgraded equipment
In some cases, the facilities rival or exceed what professional teams use in other parts of the world.
That says a lot about U.S. sports infrastructure especially at the school and academy level.
The World Cup isn't just showcasing American cities.

🚨📝 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: These are the 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗 new rules for the 2026 World Cup!
• 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 (𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): If a player deliberately delays the restart of play, the throw can be given to the opposition.
• 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹-𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 (𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): Also applies to deliberate attempts to run down the clock and can result in a corner being awarded.
• 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝟭𝟬 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): Substituted players have 10 seconds to leave the field at the nearest point. If they fail to do so, the substitute cannot enter the field for at least one minute and the team must continue with 10 players.
• 𝗢𝗳𝗳-𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲): Players who are treated by the physio must stay off the field for 60 seconds. There are some exceptions, including for goalkeepers, injuries and if the opponent is booked or sent off.
• 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀: Any player covering their mouth in a confrontational situation with an opponent may be sanctioned with a red card.
• 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱: If VAR can make sure that a corner has been correctly awarded, but this must be done quickly and before the restart. Does not apply to wrongly awarded goal-kicks.
• 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱: Players sent off for two cautions can have the second booking checked - but there will be no reviews for potential second yellows.
KSE CEO Stan Kroenke is seeking roughly $400M from the city of Inglewood tied to improvements surrounding SoFi Stadium & Hollywood Park.
The city is pushing back, disputing both the 2015 development agreement and the reimbursement amount tied to public infrastructure improvements.

Donovan McNabb says Justin Herbert is a top 5 QB. He chose Herbert over Joe Burrow. When he gets pressed on why he’d pick Justin, he says “Give him a Tee Higgins…. Or give him a Jamar Chase…. Give him something like that.”

The Los Angeles Chargers dropped another masterclass schedule release, and here’s all the less obvious Easter Eggs you might have missed Which ones did I miss?
I love football and my Chargers. I hate the NFL league office. Here is why.
The Chargers will face 6 AFC teams, including 2 division opponents, with a deficit of 34 rest days. This includes facing KC, HOU, NE, LV after these teams will have their bye weeks. In addition, the Chargers will travel to BUF and BAL, after each of these teams will have 3 extra rest days.
Now let’s see how the NFL “helps” the Chargers. After the bye week, the Chargers will face an NFC team (Rams). After the TNF game, the Chargers will face MIA (non contender). That is, our 10 “extra” rest days will be against teams that will not compete for a spot in the AFC playoffs.
This exercise shows me that per the usual, the NFL continues to do its best to prevent the Chargers from getting to the playoffs.
Another notorious NFL tradition in the recent decade: they routinely plan that the Chiefs play the Chargers after KC get extra rest days. This is not accidental. This is a “tradition” designed by the league people.
