As part of the #12montsmanor series, we would like to share yet another functional replica with you: a spade.
This replica used in Lauresham is based on the find (8/9.th century) of Münchhausen. Within Lorsch Abbey itself, spade types like these have been discorered as well.

Exhibits in focus! As part of our #12monthsmanor series, we want to present one of our ard (re)constructions used in Lauresham today. The deposit of Osterburken (approx 400 AD) ) served as a guide for the construction of this ard model, which was built in 2017/18.
