Are we sure raising k won't help?
A pool needs about 3M ADA staked before it mints blocks reliably. 2,144 pools sit below that line.
Raising k to 1,000 halves the saturation point. Would the stake actually move?

We are pleased to share that Liqwid lenders whose positions absorbed bad debt after the NIGHT liquidations in July and August will be reimbursed. This is being made possible through a goodwill initiative supported by the Liqwid and @wanchain_org teams, together with other contributors.
The Liqwid core team has completed wallet snapshots of users supplying assets in each affected market and is managing the whole reimbursement process. There is no action needed from users at this time.
When the claiming process for users is ready to go live, it will be announced on the Liqwid Discord and Twitter account. Users will be able to claim their reimbursement amount via the Sundae rewards claiming app used for ADA and LQ staking rewards. Thank you for your patience as we sort through this resolution process.

For anyone wondering: today's flat minimum fee hits small-pool delegators hardest. CIP-23 adds a minimum % margin instead, which is fairer and better for decentralization.
Years of SPOs pushing for this, and @Cerkoryn kept it front and center. Massive 🔥
@alexeusgr You're correct.. this course is targeting existing SPOs. We have ~2600 pools with stake. The parameters are currently set to make only 500 pools viable.
Pools outside that 500 know the technical side, instead they need a plan for survival. Business school, not technical college
SPO Academy from the inside: a Catalyst-funded course for Cardano stake pool operators, run as four live Monday sessions across eight modules. The calls are Chatham House, so operators talk openly about what actually keeps a pool going. Is it for you?

Four very different things, and Bitcoin DeFi marketing blurs them constantly.
We sorted Cardano's BTCfi claims into those buckets: FluidTokens, Cardinal, BitcoinOS, Bifrost, Pogun, Babel fees and Leios.

🚨 Google lost power in London this morning and Revolut, a bank with 80 million customers, went down with it.
I've spent the morning reading what Revolut users went through. It's wild.
People stranded at petrol stations, unable to pay for fuel or a taxi to the airport.
One traveller couldn't get out of a train station in Japan.
A 71-year-old woman stood at a supermarket till for an hour. Her kid had to drive 30km to bring her cash.
Card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals, currency exchange, share trading. All down.
Revolut's statement said "all our customers' money and data are safe."
Safe. You just can't touch it.
Google's explanation so far is a "power event" in one zone of its London cloud region. Its advice to affected customers was to move their workloads to another zone or region "if feasible."
Must be nice. Revolut customers couldn't even move £10.
In July the UK government put Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft and Oracle under direct Bank of England oversight, because one outage at any of them could shake the entire financial system.
12 days ago the Bank of England ran a drill with the UK's 38 biggest banks and market operators. The scenario they practised was a global cloud outage.
And exactly one year ago today, AWS went down and took Lloyds and Halifax with it.
Same date. Different cloud. Lloyds was having problems again this morning.
Revolut spent five years earning a UK banking licence.
Bitcoin has been running for almost 18 years. It doesn't have a London region.
Plan A: Crypto.
Plan B: More crypto.
I came here because I was tired of:
• Centralized control and endless money printing
• Financial systems that exclude billions of people
• Slow transactions and excessive fees
• A lack of transparency, accountability, and trust
These problems are still there.
The principles that brought us here are still the same.
SPOs - we did it! minMargin CIP23 will be fully included in the upcoming Dijkstra Hardfork to PV12 and not in PV13 many months away!
Was not easy, but the CoreDevTeam showed that they are listening and are willing to make things possible. ❤️
So a big thank you to the DevTeam, lets keep working together. 🫱🏻🫲🏽
CIP-23 (minPoolMargin) will be implemented in full for the upcoming Dijkstra Hard Fork!
Huge appreciation to @ATADA_Stakepool and the SPOs who pushed for this, and to the members of the @IOGroup ledger team who are doing the implementation work for FREE

@phil_uplc Tx Phil. Great work. Is there any plan for glacier drop wallets that still have midnight-3:native claims to make but have been compromised by SecondFi?
FLUID Pool runs a Mithril signer, built by @TeragoneFactory. Pools jointly sign certified snapshots of the chain, so a new node syncs in minutes, not days, and light wallets can check chain data without trusting one server. Good for all of Cardano.

Session 3 of SPO Academy: the Market and Internal Biomes. Most of the value a stake pool creates never shows on a balance sheet: relationships, know-how, trust. The work is finding your engine, the part you do best, and partnering for the rest.

Freedom is the sum of many things.
But what happens when the freedom to speak, organize, and live on your own terms is under threat?
We're exploring what it takes to fight for freedom, and why the future of freedom depends on the digital infrastructure built to protect it.

Blockfrost has closed Icebreakers. FLUID ran a node in it, serving real Cardano API traffic. Thank you @blockfrost_io.
dReps: weigh infrastructure votes carefully. Few projects reward SPOs for the plumbing. Decentralisation is easy to undervalue until it is gone.
🤔 Did you know...
K or stakePoolTargetNum parameter by itself, not including other parameters that go to SPO revenue like pool min fee and margin, has no impact on rewards. The rewards per ADA delegated remain the same at any level of stakePoolTargetNum for a fully saturated pool.
Example, for easy math assume a fully saturated pool at K=500 mints 40 blocks at 300 ADA per block. At K=1,000 it would be 20 blocks at 300 ADA.
K=500:
40 x 300 = 12,000
12,000/ ~78 million = 1.53 ADA Rewards per ADA Delegated
K=1,000:
20 x 300 = 6,000
6,000 / ~39 million = 1.53 ADA Rewards per ADA Delegated
Don't let people mislead you.
