@DeadlineDayLive@RodriVazquez95 This is BS as ugarte wont be available for nearly one season. So a midfielder is needed.... united would not sell Manuel Ugarte soon.
“It Took Pep 10 signings in 2 years + £600m into an already PL winning team to win it.
It Took Klopp 5 years + 20 signings to win it”
Everyone loves the idea of a rebuild until it’s time to go through one then they all cry because their favorite player has been touched.
@AnilKandola@ManUtd People pick one line and blow out of proportion. Ruben us being down to earth. Who dont want to leave their job on a bad day. But he picked himself up the next day. Stop your unproductive comment 🙄

🤔One thing I just don’t get is, why is ETH judged — by many pundits, and obviously Ashworth — like this is his 1st season in Manchester in which he finished 8th (with the worst point total we had in, checking notes, 24 months) but happened to luck out and win a cup?
🔺We finished 3rd last season, with 75 pts, in a season we played perfectly OK in, under ETH — and a squad that was full of players that don’t suit him (albeit having one CB that can play up from the back for most of the season in either Martinez or Shaw).
🔺And it’s not just one cup, it really isn’t. It’s 3 finals in two years and 2 trophies, which are the only two we have won since 2018.
🔺I of course get that many will want a manager gone after not getting results. ‘You aren’t better than your last game’, etc.
But seriously, the discussion is just so dishonest:
📢”His style of play is horrible defensively. Total joke. Systematically flawed.”
✅Ok, but in the real world, we literary had one of the best defenses in the PL last season. So it’s obviously related to personal.
📢”He doesn’t have a style of play like Ange.”
✅What people are saying is that we aren’t playing up from the back. If we played up from the back, no pundit would say that we don’t have a style of play. To play top offensive football in 2024 — just must play up from the back, it’s not rocket science.
No manager can play up from the back, without a GK that is comfortable playing that way. All managers playing that way, have replaced their GKs. Last season we didn’t have a GK that could play up from the back.
This season, we have had a mix of Maguire, Evans, Lindelof, Casemiro and Kambvala at CB. None of these guys are comfortable playing up from the back.
Playing up from the back takes drilling, drilling and more drilling. This doesn’t work if you have to play with a new CB pairing EVERY 2.7th game. 14 CB pairings in 38 games, is a new CB pairing every 2.7th game. And none of the guys used are comfortable playing up from the back.
📢”But we don’t even try, I rather fail trying, than this.”
✅We have literary tried to play up from the back every game this season.
Check the below video I put together earlier in the season showing Maguire’s issues when playing up from the back. This is how it has looked, and then we start to send long.
Then after the 0-0 game vs Liverpool, we took it another step and really pressured hard high. But since the defenders weren’t capable of playing a high line — it left an ocean in the midfield. Literary none of the pundits who had called for us to ‘at least try’ — stepped up and explained what happened and defended that we at least tried. Instead it was peak toxicity and endless showing of stats with shots against etc etc etc.
It’s a joke to claim that we ‘haven’t tried’. We tried but couldn’t execute.
On top of this — we have had a CB that can play up from the back available for 3 games excluding the ones Martinez played in with a broken foot, and in all 3 games we have played so much better (dominating Wolves until Martinez came off, 3-0 against West Ham and beating City), while that CB was on the pitch. Proof can’t be more clear than this.
🔺Look, I could be wrong, but I am convinced that we for long parts of the season would have been better if we were coached by Mourinho or Sam Allerdyce or someone like that. No doubt. We should have been a lot more defensive and counter attacked. Evans-Maguire is our most used CB pairing in the PL. We haven’t had a LB. We have simply had a squad that was built for another style of play.
So I get that people are frustrated with Ten Hag. OTOH, why would anyone think that ETH would be good at managing a team playing Mourinho ball? RDZ managed a team that was top 4 in the PL from like December to May last season, when his players performed, and this year he won like 2 of the last 19 or whatever.
I just don’t get where the notion came from, that ‘ETH’s tactics are so indefensibly poor that he must get sacked’?
@__Sun__ It makes sense if the the depression shows signs of intensification n its near MRU or RRG. Many times in the past class 1 was issued even if the storm/cyclone hasnt reach the level to be named yet. Class 1 is preparation. It means in 36h not more than 48h we can expect a cyclon
