This year in my community college biology class, I'm trying a sticker chart!
I want to incentivize & celebrate certain behaviors 🥳 without including them in the grade.
I'll report back on how it goes later this semester!
Know an amazing SCIENTIST/MENTOR/TRAILBLAZER/ROLE MODEL/SACNISTA? Nominate them for a Distinguished Award!

I'm going to write a blog post on How Not To Do #ungrading (hoo boy have I learned things this semester)
In the meantime: I continue to worry that differences in students' abilities to self-assess & advocate for themselves renders any form of collaborative grading inequitable 😬

What is the role of the textbook relative to what happens in the classroom?
Specifically: If the textbook covers exactly what the instructor covers in class (and not more), could a student - in theory - learn what they need to learn without the instructor?
