The Loop London drug checking services are open!
Cathinones are the 3rd most submitted drug (after MDMA & K), with a diverse market (4 different cathinones) & higher levels of misselling than other drugs.
Main risk is unexpected variations in strength➡️redosing➡️unwanted effects.
The Loop tested 161 substances submitted in London in 2026, of which 1 in 5 were bought as cathinones
• Nearly 2/3 of cathinones were missold: over ½ were different cathinones, 1/10 were other drugs
• The 3rd most submitted drug to UK & NL #drugchecking services are cathinones
