📰 The authority to change the national ownership cap should rest with Congress, not the FCC.

Local stations are where Sikh American communities receive routine, in-context coverage and consolidation risk decreased coverage of local news our communities depend on.

#SALDEF is heartbroken by the attack on a mosque in San Diego.

We stand in solidarity with the Muslim community and condemn all acts of hate and violence.

Together, we must continue to uphold religious freedom, safety, and dignity for all.

11/ ✅ If you believe that Californians should be free from foreign intimidation, now is the time to act. Please take 2 minutes to send a letter of support to Governor @GavinNewsom 's office at https://t.co/ghHqYtjiSG

[SALDEF @SALDEF]

🧵 In the next few days, @GavinNewsom will decide the fate of #SB509.

This “anti-intimidation bill” by @AnnaCaballeroCA isn’t just about one community. It protects ALL Californians from foreign governments targeting and intimidating people right here at home.

[SALDEF @SALDEF]

10/ California has the chance to become a national leader in protecting Civil Rights with the passage of SB509. This would set a clear precedent that any foreign intimidation against Americans on US Soil will NOT be tolerated.
