@ctvwinnipeg This is exactly why accountability must extend beyond budgets. How can families trust policy enforcement from institutions still sorting out their own ethics? Cancer care, education, regulation — its all connected. We cant afford silence anymore
@WabKinew@TheCPhM@MBOmbudsman
@CityNewsWPG@WabKinew
Universities are crying broke while denying cancer patients their legal rights under public health policy. Maybe fewer international students just exposes how dependent we’ve become on sidestepping our own social contracts.

@ZeroWhite_Guilt@WabKinew This isn’t politics. It’s hate.
You don’t mock a man’s family — especially not his kids. That’s not dissent, it’s cowardice.
We don’t have to agree with Wab to stand with him.
Manitoba’s better than this.

@mfarmerwellness Respect for this initiative — rural mental health matters.
But as a rural caregiver in Manitoba, I can’t help but wonder:
Where are the voices when cancer patients are denied meds guaranteed by law?
Why is silence the norm — unless it’s crops or cattle?
#PatientVoices
@MBGovAg Amazing detail for crop protection.
Now wheres the 2025 guide to protecting rural cancer patients?
Still waiting for clear access to meds we’re legally entitled to.
Guess our lives don’t come with labels or application tips

@MBGovAg@WabKinew
Prepared for the unpredictable?
Try navigating Manitoba’s Home Cancer Drug Program as a rural brain cancer patient.
No warnings. No training. No enforcement.
Just $28K in meds families were promised would be free
#HCDP#ManitobaHealth#PatientsArentPoultry
@ctvwinnipeg Breaking: Belgian princess may lose Harvard seat due to foreign policy.
Coming soon:
“Manitoba caregiver loses $28K and access to meds because CancerCare says: ‘Not our formulary.’”
⠀
👑 One's blocked by borders.
🧾 One's blocked by bureaucracy.
⠀
Both are systemic failures.
@business Access to education shouldn’t depend on borders.
Just like access to medication shouldn’t depend on postal codes.
Whether it’s students or patients, policy should protect people — not punish them for where they come from or where they live.
#FoxhuntWatch#EquityIsUniversal
@ctvwinnipeg Nice. We can confirm appointments by text.
Can we also confirm if rural cancer patients will stop being billed for meds they’re legally entitled to under HSC 200.19?
Notifications aren’t justice.
#FoxhuntWatch#ManitobaHealth#HCDP#PatientRights
@ctvwinnipeg Interesting question, CTV — but maybe ask this next:
Can a healthcare system legally promise cancer coverage and still make families pay $28K out of pocket?
That’s the kind of contradiction that deserves airtime too.
#FoxhuntWatch#RealNewsMatters#Priorities
@TheCPhM Appreciate the update—but are Manitoba pharmacists being trained to follow HSC 200.19?
My wifes brain cancer meds are covered under the HCDP. Pharmacists still misroute them through Pharmacare. That’s not quality assurance. That’s systemic harm.

@Dallas_Brodie@MBGov@MBOmbudsman
If 'Canada belongs to every citizen,' why are some Manitoba citizens unlawfully denied provincially mandated 'no cost' cancer drugs under HCDP (HSC 200.19)? Belonging should mean the government upholds its promises to all. #FixHCDPNow#MBPoli
