Julián Álvarez has decided he will not return to Atlético Madrid after the World Cup.
Álvarez has reportedly made up his mind not to rejoin Atlético’s pre-season. He believes the club’s management let him down. It reportedly began with the club removing him from a promotional campaign and from the Wanda Metropolitano stadium facade, before escalating to a warning that if he did not come forward and apologize, he could spend the entire season on the bench.
Álvarez now appears to be following a path similar to Robert Lewandowski, who refused to train with Bayern Munich until his move to Barcelona was finalized, and Ousmane Dembélé, who also refused to train with Borussia Dortmund while pushing for his transfer.
As things stand, Álvarez reportedly has no intention of returning to Atlético Madrid unless he is allowed to complete his move to Barcelona.

🚨 WHY VICTOR OSIMHEN IS A BETTER OPTION THAN JULIAN ALVAREZ FOR BARCELONA
1. Better goalscorer — Osimhen has scored 59 goals in 74 matches over the last two seasons, compared to Julian’s 49 goals in 106 matches.
2. Better fit — Osimhen thrives running in behind the defence. Around him, he will have players like Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo with the ball to their feet.
3. More accessible transfer — While Atletico still refuse to negotiate for Julian, rumors point to Galatasaray willing to discuss a move for Osimhen starting at €130m
4. Natural #9 and aerial threat — Osimhen gives Barça a dominant target for crosses and set pieces, adding a dimension the attack currently lacks.
5. Stronger physical presence — His pace, height and strength would give Barça an outlet against aggressive pressing while helping the team compete against deeper, more physical defences.
🚨 JUST IN: President Larpota has told the Barcelona players that if they win the World Cup. The trophy will come to the camp Nou before it goes to the Santiago Bernabeu.
🚨 BREAKING: FC Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Jules Koundé, valuing the defender at around €50-60M.
Bayern Munich have enquired, but their reported valuation of under €40M is well below Barça's asking price.
