I think an extremely strong case is being made to start with 2 x 5.0m DEFCON CBs

Being able to switch from the 2 you original select to any other two could prove quite valuable as there is a bit of uncertainty which one(s) are going to prove value! 🤔

Man City have the most favourable fixtures, but frustratingly they don't really offer any convincing DC picks. Senesi and Lacroix are probably the closest, yet both come with uncertainty over minutes and their DEFCON potential.

Thomas, Ballard and Canvot have the toughest fixtures for DEFCON, although I still believe Canvot is aggressive enough to overcome that.

Think Maresca’s system will lead to a lot of opportunity for city wingers to create more than score, as seen pre season with Semenyo.
