📍Myanmar | After returning home following displacement, Ko Naing Htwe was clearing overgrown grass from his compound when he stepped on a landmine and lost his leg.

He is now receiving physical rehabilitation at the ICRC-supported The Leprosy Mission Myanmar centre in Taungoo to help regain mobility.

With a prosthetic limb and rehabilitation support, she can now move independently and care for her family again.

📍Myanmar | Amputee football in Kyaing Tong is redefining what inclusion in sport looks like. At the local Physical Rehabilitation Centre, supported by the ICRC, players are back on the pitch—training, competing, and proving that losing a limb doesn’t mean losing the game.

📍Lebanon | We are deeply distressed by the killing of @RedCrossLebanon paramedic Hassan Badawi, who succumbed to injuries sustained from a strike while carrying out an emergency rescue mission in the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon.

We mourn this tragic loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and his colleagues. Our thoughts are also with another Lebanese Red Cross colleague who was injured in the same incident.

Saving lives must never cost a life. Humanitarian and medical personnel must be protected.

They must be respected.
