As a parent of a 3 year old, I'm quite disappointed that the issue of childcare was completely ignored by both candidates. Neither answered the question about rising childcare cost. I want to hear plans and a vision for the future. @JoeBiden
This is why I love @LocalProgress members. Last week, two of our beautiful black babies attended their Denver City Council meeting to advocate for their school when a racist hiding behind zoom insulted these young girls using racial slurs. Here's a message from some LP members.
Show this 1 minute excerpt of my interview w/ @normfinkelstein to anyone naively/ignorantly/dishonestly claiming Israel wouldn't bomb a hospital. He's read all the human rights reports & describes the way they target not just hospitals but ambulances https://t.co/2L2P3PHDph
Today, 74 local elected officials submitted a comment to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, urging tenant protections for enterprise-backed properties.

Today @francescamenes is taking a big step up and joining the @LocalProgress leadership team as our new Managing Director, Membership & Organizing. I can't even begin to express how exciting this is.
@AmericanAir It is unacceptable for any crew member to walk up to a mother on a flight in a "nice way" to ask them to keep their child in line and quiet because a white man sees a black toddler and wants her to shut up. Miss me with that. It's a 2 year old. So pissed #ridiculous
Today, we’re thrilled to announce our next Executive Director:
⚡️ Ivan Luevanos-Elms! ⚡️
Many of you know and love @IvanLS24 - because he is LP's heart and soul.
We're excited for the continuity and opportunity that his leadership brings!

As the Florida State Leg attempts to silence local voices, LPFL members representing communities across FL gathered together in Tallahassee to speak up.
Follow along to see what our members have to say.
“As a Floridian, I can tell you that we are exhausted. We are tired of state lawmakers year after year trying to take more and more power away from our communities. But Floridians are resilient. We will continue to stand up for our communities.” – LP’s @francescamenes
The will of everyday Floridians is being consistently ignored & contradicted during this year’s legislative session.
This morning, local leaders representing communities across FL spoke out: https://t.co/bno9xm96FF

3/ Listen to @FRANCESCAMENES, brilliant activist + Co-Founder of @BLK_Collective & Deputy Organizing Director for @localprogress, on the vital fight for *local* power in #Florida. This is so much bigger than budgets. Join the fight against racist HB 1 at https://t.co/TjuBL8w2V3!
When folks don't want to believe that democracy is hanging on by a thread! Just a reminder 2 people tried to kidnap Michigan Governor @gretchenwhitmer and were convicted yesterday for conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction.
This has been the most uneventful election night in Florida. IJS National Democrats picked a former Republican to go head to head with DeSantis. This will be interesting so say the least. Can't wait to watch the debate. #Elections2022
