Today, following the launch of the $38 million Republic of Korea-UN humanitarian and resilience package, H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, UNICEF Representative/UN Resident Coordinator a.i., and teams from UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, and WHO visited programme sites in Rural Damascus.

At a UNICEF-supported WASH site, the delegation met workers restoring access to safe water for families.

Across other sites, they witnessed ongoing efforts delivering tangible results for children and their families.

A testament to what collective action can achieve - building a stronger, more resilient future for Syria.

Today in Damascus, #UNICEF joined the Government of Syria, the Republic of Korea, and UN partners to launch a $38 million humanitarian and resilience package supporting communities across Syria.

This multi-agency initiative brings together Korea with UNICEF, UNDP, WFP and WHO to deliver practical results for children and families.

With Korea’s support, UNICEF will reach 1.3 million people, including 800,000 children, with:
📚 Quality education
💧 Clean water and sanitation
👶 Maternal and child health services
