TROPICAL UPDATE: Odds for development increase to 40% with #Invest94L. Plenty of time to watch it across the Atlantic. Next name is #Nadine. I'll have thoughts about this one within the hour. @WINKNews
Hurricane Milton absolutely DESTROYED Manasota Key, AKA Englewood Beach, Florida.
The roads are covered in many feet of sand, and the homes have absolutely been hollowed out, with some being buried.
It will take years to recover.

We’re incredibly grateful for our community partners, like the @HCSOSheriff, who joined us today in conducting transmission helicopter patrols! 🚁
After a powerful hurricane like Milton, our top priority is restoring power safely and efficiently. These aerial inspections allow us to cover large areas quickly, spotting downed lines and damage that might be hard to see from the ground. With a bird’s eye view, we can prioritize repairs where they’re needed most and gather crucial information on nearby hazards.
This teamwork is essential in helping us restore power more quickly and effectively for everyone!
Hurricane Milton and power outages have caused a major shortage of gasoline in St. Petersburg. There was nearly a 1 mile long line for the only gas station open on 4th Street on Friday. Police had to take control of the intersection. @BN9
🏠⚠️ STAY IN PLACE, HILLSBOROUGH!
There are many hazards on the roadways such as down trees and powerlines, flooding, and debris. It's important to remain OFF the road.

Hear from Josh Bellotti, Director of Engineering & Operations for Hillsborough County, on how to separate your debris for a smooth pick up. For more information on curbside storm debris collection, visit: https://t.co/Vjb8v09y1E
BRIDGE CLOSURE: The Howard Frankland Bridge is now closed due to high winds and water coming up over the barriers. Monitor real-time traffic -> https://t.co/ymI5EmG8Dh #FLWX#Tampa#Pinellas#Hillsborough
For those of you messaging me regarding a "shift in track towards Tampa". Storms wobble as they move. The storm is in a deep layer flow towards the Big Bend. Yes, even a small shift or wobble east is not great, but the overall forecast is unchaged. Hopefully a slight wobble east will reduce the threat to Tallahassee. #Helene
