Established in 2010, the @FloridaState Garnet & Gold Scholar Society was created to recognize students who engage in meaningful experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom. After 16 years, 2026 marks the final class of Garnet & Gold Scholars, as experiential learning has become a defining component of the undergraduate experience and has been integrated into the CoreFSU curriculum for all students.

The commencement festivities are in full swing at @FloridaState, and we're celebrating our #FSU2026 grads! 🎓
Philip Quattrochi will cross the stage on Friday evening to receive his bachelor's degree in computer science (@FSUComputerSci), and as part of FSU Air Force ROTC, he'll also be commissioning as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.
"FSU provided me with the opportunity to do anything I've ever wanted professionally. I was able to grow as a leader, receive a helicopter training slot, and learn more about my passion for computer science all at once."
As one of 28 cadets nationwide selected for the Helicopter Training Next program, Quattrochi will soon begin training at Fort Rucker in Alabama to pilot Combat Search and Rescue missions.

Actuaries thrive on data, which they use to analyze the financial impact of hurricanes and other natural disasters, manage catastrophe risk in business, forecast population growth or shrinkage, help individuals plan for retirement and more.
For almost three decades, @FloridaState's actuarial science undergraduate degree program — an interdisciplinary collaboration among @FSUMathematics, @FSUComputerSci, @StatisticsFSU and @FSUWertheim — has prepared graduates for crucial roles in a wide range of industries.

To learn more about the paper, titled "Interaction-Augmented Instruction: Modeling the Synergy of Prompts and Interactions in Human-GenAI Collaboration," visit: https://t.co/MjsnkEbDEy.
New research by assistant professor of computer science Yifang Wang and her collaborators from @MSFTResearch Asia and @hkust will be presented at @TheOfficialACM's 2026 CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, taking place April 13-17!
Text prompts are the most common way people interact with AI, but this method often struggles to produce specific, fine-grained results. Wang’s research seeks to close this gap in communication and earned an Honorable Mention award from the conference.
