Medal of Honor recipient Patrick Brady reminds us that this is the season of patriotism in America.
It begins with Memorial Day — flowers on the graves of our fallen warriors. It moves to Flag Day, honoring the symbol of our sovereignty and the physical embodiment of the values written into our Constitution and Declaration. Then the Fourth of July. And finally the anniversary of D-Day, when our forces stormed the beaches of Normandy and helped save Europe.
Thirty-six days. One stretch of the calendar that begins this Memorial Day — a time to express our appreciation and our love for those who gave everything for this nation.
This year, as we approach America’s 250th, that gratitude matters more than ever.
Honor them. Remember them. Thank them.
