SMSA joined Stonehaven & District Men's Shed today for the presentation of the @KingsAwardVS by the Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire. The award recognises the contribution made by the Shed to community something King Charles hopes to be a cornerstone of his reign 👏
The Forth Valley Shedders were delighted when the First Minister dropped by their stall at the Stirling Highland Games. The @ScotGovFM stayed a good 25 minutes and purchased some of their slate coasters and was gifted a handcrafted pen which they lasered 'First Minister' on.
It was great to see him again.
He says that what we are able to accomplish within the workshop environment and how much of a benefit the Men’s Shed is to everyone’s wellbeing & morale, are priceless assets and was only too pleased to recognise these achievements in Parliament.
Further to his local campaign for reinstatement of Mens Shed funding, Alexander Stewart MSP recently congratulated us on our CTSI awards.
He visited on Friday to present us with Scottish Parliament-branded, signed & laminated versions of motions to accompany the Awards.

Why not drop over for a fantastic day of events @WhatOnStirling@Stirling_News@alloatiser
Such a special night @clacksCTSI Volunteer Awards Ceremony! Each and every volunteer there makes such a difference to our communities, and what an impact in such a wee county! The smiles from our members @FVMS4 says it all!
We had a visit from Alexander Stewart MSP this morning.
He seemed pleased with everything we are doing and is apparently more determined than ever in doing all he can to ensure that Scottish Men’s Sheds Association’s funding by the Scottish government can continue.
