@Number10cat@charliemansell Good point Larry- i dont mean to be insensitive but this is similar to Schrödinger's cat (ie being both alive and dead until observed), the migrant is held to be both- too lazy to work but also stealing jobs from locals. Bob talking nonsense again
The dangerous & irresponsible blurring of challenging Israel & Antisemitism is deeply revealing.
A Labour Government who apologised over their actions over Gaza is demonstrating that it was all performative. Andy Burnham still stands with Israel whilst it kills innocent people.
@perayahmet Peray - is israel committing a genocide? Do you support terminating all arms sales and military collaboration between the UK and Israel - these are very simple questions - if you had answered them right you wouldn’t have lost your council seat
@medialens@speedsemiotics@ZackPolanski Israel “Created by UN” always does a lot of heavy lifting. UN in 1947 had just 57 members- dominated by colonial empires. Africa had just 4 including apartheid south africa- rather than 54 now. 10 muslim states rather than nearly 50 now- the UN of 1947 had little legitimacy
Latest poll by YouGov:
NO CHANGE for Greens. Labour DOWN by 3 points 😂
So, despite weeks of unrelenting vitriol by EVERY party and media outlet on behalf of Israel and the Zionist movement, @ZackPolanski hasn’t buckled, and @TheGreenParty support has held - and it’s Labour support that’s fallen!

This shows:
1. The Zionist victim card is not working as well now. Zionists’ grip on public opinion is slipping, despite their ongoing grip on mainstream media and politicians.
2. Huge numbers of British people have witnessed Israel’s orgy of violence in Gaza, and are disgusted by the politicians and media who defend Israel.
3. Voters are also increasingly impatient with Zionists using accusations of anti-semitism against supporters of Palestinians to shut down criticism of Israel. And frustrated with those who don’t challenge the lies and defend those being smeared.
4. Many are repulsed by the way ‘extremist’ label is applied to anyone opposing genocide, and the anti-Muslim hatred stoked against @MothinAli and any Muslim who doesn’t toe the Zionist line.
It’s amazing the Green Party is holding up in the polls thus far.
BUT THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE GREEN PARTY
The hysteria is designed to not just crush an anti-Zionist Green Party, but reassert the very narrow limits of democratic dissent tolerated by the establishment .
Members of Trade Unions and wider movements who fight for civil rights, free speech, democracy, anti-racism, and of course the Palestine solidarity movement - whether they are members of the Green Party or not- need to co-ordinate together NOW for an effective pushback.
WE CAN WIN IF WE FIGHT BACK TOGETHER 👊🏼💕

I’m getting tired of the smears by the liberal chattering classes. The Green Party voted to make our party an anti-Zionist party by the largest mandate in our party’s history. It won the straw poll in the days leading up to the conference by the largest margin, had 11 times as many co-sponsors as any policy in the history of the Green Party, and came first in the prioritisation ballot. This was popular at every stage.
It’s our party’s policy now. Get over it.
The racist abuse my friend and colleague @MothinAli has been subject to over the last week is appalling and unacceptable.
Enough is enough - our party won't be engaging with the Telegraph until they apologise for their racist and antisemitic cartoon. Mothin - we're with you.
Our message is clear: the dignity of Muslim and Jewish communities is not a matter of political convenience. We stand united against all forms of racism, without exception. @Telegraph

@GBPolitcs@perayahmet@poll_checker Please make sure Labour doesnt backtrack on promise to extend franchise to 16 year olds - and we will see how they vote in the next general election.
I am a member of the Jewish Greens and am proud to support Zack as our leader. He has built us into the only party fighting to end UK support for the Israeli mass murder of children, to bring our public services back into public ownership and to welcome refugees to our hearts.
A very long day but an amazing evening listening to residents as we head into the final day of campaigning.
Rent controls, water nationalisation and tackling the climate crisis.
Come campaign with us tomorrow!

If I had a penny for every "real" leftist who kept quiet when Faiza Shaheen was screwed over, Diane Abbott was humiliated, Ken Loach expelled, Jamie Driscoll forced out, Maurice McLeod stitched up, Martin Forde KC threatened with gagging orders, Sonia Winifred cancelled, Martin Abrahams suspended, and Gaza razed with weapons made in our factories... I'd have about 6,000 pennies, equal to number of Labour councillors who said nothing and did nothing.
“Camden Council faces £90 million worth of cuts under a Labour government, a government that promised things were going to get better after austerity with the Conservatives, and they’re not.”
Benali Hamdache on the pressures facing people and public services in Holborn and St Pancras, on BBC Politics London.
On my way from Cambridgeshire to Camden to support @ZackPolanski for Holborn and St Pancras today. Another Labour MP won't make any difference. Let's hold Andy to account. #ZackPolanski#VoteGreen we can do this!
