Last week during the prestigious Fab25 Conference held in Prague, Czechia, we were proud to see the "Made in Kenya Kinetic Seat" take the global stage!
The innovation was presented by Eng. Kohshi Katoh, a Toyota Motor Corporation engineer and Fabricademy student.
He collaborated with FabLab Winam to design, produce, and test the kinetic seat right here in Kisumu.
This is a powerful testament to what innovation, global collaboration and local manufacturing using technology can achieve in makerspaces/Fablabs which aligns with our vision.
Our CEO @OlooMartin shared time with Sherry Lassiter, President of the @FabFndn. They were later joined by Kohshi Katoh of Toyota Japan, an innovator in automotive kinetics.
These unexpected connections are what make global gatherings like Fab25 so meaningful.
What. A. Weekend!
