There is no work-life balance when you’re autistic. A week of work can take a week to recover from. Evenings vanish in exhaustion, weekends in anxiety about the next week. There’s no real downtime, no real rest just trying to recover enough to do it all over again.
Since Pope Leo XIV mentioned this in encyclical, this means if your employer is pushing you to use AI, you can cite religious conserns as a reason to not use it at work
A lot of autistic adults say they “hate being perceived”.
What we often mean is that being seen has never felt safe.
Because being noticed means being corrected, being questioned, being misunderstood.
So visibility feels like risk.
