FB & Insta need to stop ignoring us! My accounts have been hacked and blocked - read my pinned tweet for details.

I’ve had my personal FB & Insta accounts hacked and blocked. The hackers have run up over £800 in FB Ads which have come out of my PayPal. PayPal have blocked further transactions however I’m on a mission to retrieve my money back and gain access to my Facebook.

I have now filed a case with the Police (Action Fraud) so should be able to get my money back at least.

I’ve received three replies now via LinkedIn from FB staff. All offering little help regarding hacked and disabled accounts. All telling me to use the FB “help” link (pointless). None of them have a direct link to someone who may actually be able to help 👎🏼

@tdawgsmitty How’d you manage to get back in? I’m in the same boat and got hacked/ blocked and the hackers spent over £800 in FB Ads 😩 can’t get through to anyone at @meta @facebook @instagram

I created an account on LinkedIn and messaged 14 employees of FB - so far one has replied with the usual ‘hacked account’ link. She sympathised with my situation however couldn’t offer further help. She is a ‘recruiter for Meta’ so I didn’t expect much help. Will post updates.
