🧵Thanks, we need more widespread education on propaganda.

Just as importantly, we need to explore *why* we are vulnerable to it, and the psychological mechanism at play.

Normal, empathic people are vulnerable because they project their own goodness onto others
and naively presume no-one would ever try to manipulate/harm them.
Normal, empathic people are disadvantaged
because they simply cannot get their heads around
the cold machinations of psychopathic, sociopathic peoples and systems… and the way they use the
victim card to (a) play on emotions and (b) camouflage
perpetrator goals.

This needs to change. We need to catch up, do research on dark triad abusive behaviours and learn to identify the primary tool: gaslighting.
Gaslighting is far worse than lying: it inverts and denies others’ reality and induces (measurable) confusion and helplessness.
The gaslighters gain power and control (via framing and narrative creation) over the hapless, who are ignorant of the psychological mechanism at play.

We need to understand this control dynamic far better.
Become resistant to gaslighting by studying its mechanisms better. Read; watch youtube lectures.

Once more of us can identify what’s at play -
the gaslighting tactic of Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender (DARVO)
- the more the red flags can be called out.
Education is key.

It's a war on the human conscience. Sentencing anti-genocide activists as terrorists. Working to deport Trita Parsi for criticizing the war on Iran. They're actually punishing people for not acting like sociopaths.

It's the same war on the conscience that saw the empire persecute Julian Assange, crush pro-Palestine demonstrations on university campuses, investigate peace activists for bringing aid to Cuba, and dramatically ramp up the suppression of free speech to silence criticism of Israel.

That's what you get when you live under an empire established on and driven by sociopathic values. The agenda to dominate and control the entire human population is evil, because it can only be accomplished through nonstop war, militarism, propaganda, deception, and tyranny.

That's why the truth-tellers are branded traitors, the anti-genocide demonstrators are branded anti-semites, and the peace activists are branded terrorists. We live in a backward dystopia with backward values, so the good are beaten down while the wicked rule the world.
