WHAT AN IMPOSSIBLE ENGINEERING!
As Saudi Arabia announces the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj season, with more than 1.7 million pilgrims performing the sacred pilgrimage, it is worth appreciating the remarkable planning, logistics, and engineering that make this spiritual gathering possible year after year.
In this video, my good friend @sai7org takes us on a fascinating tour, explaining some of the incredible infrastructure behind Hajj operations. Particularly interesting is how the enormous amount of water used across the Mashaer, that is, in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, is transported from desalination plants connected to the sea and distributed efficiently to serve millions of pilgrims, despite the challenging desert environment.
From water systems and transportation networks to crowd management and public services, the Hajj remains one of the greatest logistical operations on earth and an example of what human ingenuity can achieve in the service of faith.
I think Saudi Arabia is the best country when it comes to managing crowds and logistical issues. Managing over 2 million pilgrims every year is not an easy task.

One of the most beautiful things I think I’ve ever seen happen. An organic community of over 30k people who have signed up to memorize Surah Al Baqara by next Ramadan (it’s only 1 page a week)!
Every week, we do just a 30 minute session of Tajweed and Tafseer. It’s not too late to join! You can follow along on YouTube on the “Omar Suleiman Personal” channel.

Almost a week ago, US First Lady Melania Trump chaired a UN Security Council meeting on "children in conflict" while the US and Israel killing children in Lebanon, Gaza and Iran.
Today, US envoy Tom Barrack, who is accused of raping children on Epstein Island, is chairing the UN Security Council on the human rights situation in the Middle East.
This is the most hypocritical things we have seen in the history of the Security Council.
The Sri Lankan government has initiated the preliminary discussions with Emirates and Qatar Airways to utilise Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Sri Lanka as an alternative transit hub, as the escalating geopolitical tensions continue to paralyse the primary aviation networks in the Middle East.
French President Macron:
“France did not choose this Iran war. We are not taking part in it. Nobody can force us.”
Nobody can force us.
This is not a diplomatic abstention.
This is France — founding NATO member, America’s oldest ally, the country that helped birth American democracy — telling Trump and Netanyahu directly: you are alone in this.
France: officially out.
Germany: no.
Norway: no.
Canada: never.
Japan: officially no.
Australia: officially no.
UK: not our war.
Switzerland: airspace closed.
Macron: nobody can force us.
Trump threatened NATO with a “very bad future.”
Macron just answered.
Trump gets less than 1% of US oil through the Strait he mined.
He asked the world to reopen it.
The world keeps walking away.
$21 billion spent. 14 Americans dead. Oil at $102. Cuba dark. Taiwan surrounded. Zero allied warships.
Nobody can force us.
Never stop connecting the dots.
Populations the size of entire American cities are being displaced by Israel in a single day, and yet much of our media and political class continues to back Israel and pretend what it's doing in the Middle East is somehow normal or defensible or not an epic war crime.
To be clear: the most influential pro-war voice in Trump’s ear was briefed in Israel by Israeli intelligence and sent back to make the case to Trump.
Can’t make this stuff up.
Israel is bombarding, literally bombarding, two Middle East capitals, Beirut and Tehran, killing 100s of civilians, and yet the US and UK media continue to portray Iran as the threat to the region.
Israel has nukes, but Iran is the nuclear threat.
We live in Orwellian times.
Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists
The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"?
Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law
Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.
