I get tired of seeing the same “so you want to play in college” itinerary so I have created an actual real one that I’d say over 70% of athletes actually use.

Before your dreams come to pass, God will test your character. He’ll put you in situations that are uncomfortable, that you don’t understand. It’s not always about right now. God is looking down the road at what you’re going to need to handle the weight of blessing.

Today I had an impromptu opportunity to be on a panel. Over all the presentations, podcasts, articles etc I’ve done, there nothing I wish to impart to young strength coaches more than what I said today.
When asked about work life balance:
“Eff work.”
Vulnerability time-
All coaches have days they feel they don’t connect, communicate or coach well. All coaches at times doubt themselves.
No matter their experience
I get a lot of DMs for consulting/advisement / happy to do that, but understand we’re all working on our craft.
High Schools need QUALIFIED individuals in the weight room. Too many kids being injured or worse because of unqualified individuals running weight rooms
When you see strength coaches bashing sport coaches this is why… lots of great ones out there unfortunately there’s also lots of idiots. If you can’t or haven’t done a workout yourself, don’t have your kids do it (even this is far from foolproof). It’s not “just working out”
