Multidisciplinary research group @UniStrathclyde (@StrathCivEng). Expertise in the fields of faults and fluid flow (FAFF), geological engineering and geoenergy.
For those coming over to Glasgow for @AllEnergy conference in May, come see us! You can drop in to meet @K_J_Dobson and chat about imaging rocks and fluid flow at the Engage event on the Tues & Wed, register here: https://t.co/8f0n0kq7KU

*New PhD project klaxon* Interested in interdisciplinary work exploring effects of climate change on mine water resources with the brill @the_JenRoberts @DrScottJMcGrane & I @UniStrathclyde@StrathCivEng@Strath_Econ@FafFclyde? please see https://t.co/VXvvOQSzdE (1/n)
Worked with a brilliant team on this- collates largely disparate information on geothermal developments in Ethiopia & delivers database of publically available water chemistry to give insight into geothermal resources and possible operational & environmental challenges
Congrats to Izabella Ortalega for successfully defending her PhD thesis: Laboratory insights into reactions between gas shales and hydraulic fracturing fluids at reservoir temperatures and pressures 👏🎉
I have found very few people interested in free food, travel, and housing to look at rocks! If you know anyone looking for a good geology experience this is an excellent opportunity. I'm booking people for 5-6 days at a time so you don't have to commit the whole month.
I need field assistants (May 10th - June 10th, 2021)! Any Scottish-based geology post-grads looking for fieldwork experience? I need lots of help sampling clasts and their fractures. Here are pretty photos of my site (Stonehaven) to grab interest. @FafFclyde@UniStrathclyde

I gave my first lecture. It was "The Role Geoengineering and Carbon Capture and Storage In The Circular Economy." Hopefully, we get some interested, future geoscientists out of the bunch.
