Presenting the findings of the 2 Trends Alerts on CT and Border Management in Africa, Uyo Yenwong-Fai, CTED noted that knowledge gaps among national officials, physical conditions of border posts, governance & socioeconomic difficulties were hampering border management in Africa.
Happy to have worked on these two pieces, which spell out some of the key observations that emerged from CTED assessments in 15 African countries. They summarize some of the main challenges Member States face in securing their borders.
