"Joining us will be one of our actors, Glenn Morshower, whose impressive list of credits includes: 24, The Resident, Ozark, Friday Night Lights, The West Wing, and X-Men: First Class).
"Movie Synopsis: Jeremy Avery is vying for a college golf scholarship, but his preparation and game are affected by family pressures related to his younger autistic brother Ethan. Jeremy’s path leads him on a journey of discovery and acceptance of family, friendship, faith, and his brother, whose savant-like gifts can create an unstoppable pair on and off the golf course.
"The Short Game will be directed by Sherman resident Frank Sanza. On choosing to shoot locally, Sanza says, 'The Short Game is set in Sherman and highlights our amazing community and the people who have already shown us unbelievable support. Such an undertaking would not be possible without the generosity of so many in the Texoma area.'
"Sanza also shares, 'Our film will be produced by LA-based producer, David Parks, who brings incalculable expertise to our film not only through his own experience, but through the crew he has brought in to work on the film. We are fortunate to have major Hollywood players heading up key departments.'

Sherman ISD is excited to announce Alan McDougal as the next head baseball coach at Sherman High School.
He spent the last 18 years as the head baseball coach at Colleyville Heritage High School, and led the Panthers to win the 5A State Championship in 2019.
SISD is grateful for the tremendous support our community showed for our public schools. With 71%, Prop A had the highest passing percentage of propositions of more than $475 million dollars! With 64%, our Prop B had the third highest passing percentage for athletic stadiums!

The first installed set of Legacy Bricks were shown today on the Sherman High School walkway! The community can purchase a brick to memorialize or honor an individual, graduating class or otherwise, and proceeds go to the Sherman Education Foundation.
This morning, the unveiling for the new Billy Bob Bearcat statue at Sherman High School drew together alumni, staff, students and community members alike. The statue was inspired by the 1966-67 original mascot, which would be carried onto the field by the “Billy Bob Boys.”
The Sherman ISD Challenge Program, Neblett Elementary School Choir and Sherman ISD Fine Arts represented their schools well at the Sherman Veteran’s Day Parade this morning!
