๐พ Did you know? If you see common reedgrowing on a piece of land, it could be a natural warning sign that the area is waterlogged or part of a wetland.
Common reed thrives in soils that stay wet for long periods. While its presence doesn't automatically mean the land will flood, it is an important clue that the site may have a high water table or poor drainage.
Before buying land, take time to observe the vegetation, ask about the area's flood history, and consult local experts if needed. A little research today can help you avoid costly flooding problems in the future.
Nature often leaves cluesโwe just need to pay attention. Make informed decisions and invest wisely. ๐ฟ๐ก
I think it would be super respectful to take down this post! Iโm sure yall got the reaction you expected.! It shouldnโt have happened anyways! Also I even wonder who called her, and what they said to her! Did we beg a xenophobe to grant us an interview? Becuase Iโm damn sure she didnโt call yall!
๐จ WHY DID AREAS THAT DON'T USUALLY FLOOD END UP UNDERWATER? ๐ค
The answer may surprise you. Watch this video to the end as we break down what really happened and why even non-waterlogged areas were affected.
@tv3_ghana They left the most important point out:
โIn Ghana, the Ghana Building Code mandates that at least 10% of any residential plot (up to 500sqm ) must be dedicated to unpaved open space and greenery. This 10% unpaved area must include at least two small or medium trees โ

@akwasi_stoich The most amusing part about leaders expecting us to do better before they're proactive is that they can't possibly say their wealth has successfully trickled all the way down and they have elevated all their families into posh neighbourhoods. This will affect everyone.
The same Ghanaians who throw rubbish into gutters here will travel abroad and follow the rules not because their character suddenly changed. They follow the rules because the system there will punish them if they donโt. You canโt beg people to โbehave properlyโ and call that governance. No serious country runs on begging.
Since politicians are always waiting for all 33millions Ghanaians to be of good behavior and be law abiding by themselves then it will be better for all of them to step down and let the country run on autopilot.
There is absolutely no need for leaders๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
๐จ FLOODS DON'T START WITH RAIN-THEY START WITH GREED.
While many are blaming the downpour, this is the reality too many ignore.
Wetlands are being swallowed by concrete. Buildings are rising where nature was meant to hold and drain floodwaters. When we destroy these natural buffers, we shouldn't be surprised when the water comes looking for its space.
The rain is only doing what rain does. We are the ones changing the landscape.
Protect our wetlands. Enforce the laws. Build responsibly. Our future depends on it.
