Bryan Cranston pays tribute to RJ Mitte
“I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. RJ Mitte, my sweet son on 'Breaking Bad' has died. I met him when he was only 14 years old when he was cast as Walter White Jr., a part he played with such joy and enthusiasm. Born with Cerebral Palsy, he never – ever – allowed that challenge to be an excuse for anything. He met the demanding shooting schedule head on with great determination"
“Always listening to the advice that his TV parents (Anna Gunn and myself) gave him – but being a teenager, sometimes mischievously ignoring the counsel in order to learn the hard way… He was one of the stars of a hit TV show – but still a kid. That kid was pretty raw when we started shooting the pilot in February of 2007, but little by little we watched him grow into a really fine actor. He parlayed his experience on the show to be a vocal advocate for performers with disabilities, and was the head of a philanthropic organization with a focus on helping the disabled community. All that promise and potential now is such a loss"
“It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life,” he wrote. “Why? We were texting each other just a few weeks ago – figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future… But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series, and after the spotlight on 'Breaking Bad' dimmed… I’ll miss you, son"
OMG! Tragedy!
A Gaza school trip ended with one dead child and tens injured, some severely, after an Israeli bomb blew up right next to the kids.
How terrible, right?!
Oh, wait, sorry, I read that wrong.
They were Israeli kids and a Hezbollah bomb.
Carry on.
Dear journalists, no need to cover this story. It’s only Jewish kids who were killed and severely injured.
That won’t get you the clicks you want.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves. 🤮
Virwat Rogpan, a citizen of Thailand and the only foreigner who was on board a Fly Dubai flight to Israel where a co-pilot tried to crash the plane, who in an interview to his country's media outlets returned the moments
of terror in the air, the number of Israeli passengers who took command - and the warm treatment he received from them.
Rogfan told that everything was going as usual, until in less than three minutes the plane plunged sharply: "It was like being on a roller coaster when we're at a high altitude and suddenly falling down. Because some people finished eating and didn't have belts, their bodies were just floating in air. Children and women screamed and some cried. There were two dives in a row, and I cried three times. "After the dive there was a severe suffocation sensation, and we couldn't communicate clearly with anyone."
He described how Israeli passengers jumped into action to help the attacked Indian captain:
"The passengers asked the staff if there was a doctor, policeman or soldier to help stop the pilot's bleeding. It all happened in about ten
minutes until they took control of the situation, and the pilot that carried out the attack lost consciousness and was tied up.
Rogfan added that Israelis approached him repeatedly: "Their treatment was amazing, they are a very good people. They worried about us all the time
This non-Jewish schoolbus driver learned Hershy Weinberger songs just to make the Jewish kids on his route smile.
"The kids are like, are you Jewish??!"
"I work in the Jewish community, so I should know something about the culture" 💙💙💙
The Māori community has stood by Israel since the 7th of October. Not sure when this is from but I have seen them do the Haka in support of Israel a number of times. Never gets old. 🇮🇱🇳🇿
A 10-foot alligator grabbed a 73-year-old woman by the leg and dragged her 70 feet into a pond. Her neighbor jumped into the water to save her, but moments later, they were both pulled beneath the surface.
Carol DeLillo was doing yardwork near her home in South Carolina when the massive alligator suddenly attacked, clamping its jaws around her leg and dragging her into the water.
Nearby, Kenneth McCarter heard her cries for help. Without hesitation, he rushed into the pond and swam toward her.
Kenneth managed to grab Carol, but as he struggled to pull her free, they were both dragged underwater. He still refused to let go.
Fighting to keep Carol above the surface, Kenneth finally managed to pull her away from the alligator and toward shore, where his teenage son helped bring her to safety.
Carol suffered devastating injuries and needed multiple surgeries, but she survived. Kenneth also made it out alive.
Kenneth’s extraordinary courage deserves to be recognized.
