Today one of the second graders in my student teaching class asked me if I had a boyfriend. I asked him why he wanted to know and he just shrugged and smirked 🤦🏼♀️
This morning I overheard one of my kids ask another kid if his mom worked at the hospital (because she was wearing scrubs). The kid answered ‘No, she works at the money store and gets money to buy me food and toys.’ 😂
Cried during my staff meeting tonight (along with my boss) because we talked about when I have to leave (in August) to do my student teaching. On to bigger and better things but sad about leaving a place that impacted me and taught me so much.
Today at snack time my preschoolers were talking about money. Started off with “I’m getting really tired of getting money (in birthday cards). I’m already rich, I have like $5.” And somehow turned into “when my dad wants money he just buys some.”
“Miss. Faith, why are you wearing that?”
“Miss. Faith, why do you sound like that?”
“Miss. Faith, why don’t you have a boyfriend?”
Preschoolers are great self-esteem boosters

Is it normal to miss work? I mean don’t get me wrong I’ve enjoyed the little break I got for Christmas but I miss my kiddos, it’s been almost a whole week since I’ve seen them (more than that for some) and I’m so excited to go back to work tomorrow and see them!

This morning I was talking to a kid about our Christmas program and I asked him what his favorite song was. He looked at me and said “umm, Whiskey Glasses”
Good to know, but not really what I was asking
