Not every victory shows up on the scoreboard. Some show up in your character.
📖 Bible Verse
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
— Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
🙏 Devotional Thought
Every time you step onto the field, you put on a jersey. But before we put on our uniform, God calls us to put on something even more important—our character.
It’s easy to be kind after a big win or patient when everything is going your way. The real test comes after a tough strikeout, a bad call, an error, or when someone treats you unfairly. Those are the moments when compassion, humility, gentleness, and patience become more than words—they become a witness.
People may remember the home runs, diving catches, or championship rings, but they’ll never forget how you treated others along the way.
When we choose humility over pride, kindness over frustration, and encouragement over criticism, we’re reflecting Christ to everyone around us. That’s what Faith > Fear looks like. That’s what We > Me looks like.
The strongest competitor isn’t always the loudest or the most talented. It’s the one whose character points others to Jesus.
🙏 Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and choosing us to represent You every day. Help us put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience in every situation—whether we’re winning or facing adversity. Let our attitude honor You and encourage those around us. Help us become teammates, leaders, and people whose character reflects Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🤝 The best teammates don’t disappear when life gets hard.
Bible Verse
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” — Proverbs 17:17 (NIV)
Devotional Thought
It’s easy to cheer for someone after they hit a home run or make the game-winning play. Real friendship is revealed when the strikeouts come, injuries happen, confidence is shaken, or life off the field becomes difficult.
Proverbs 17:17 reminds us that true friends don’t only celebrate victories—they walk beside us through the valleys. They encourage instead of criticize, lift others up instead of tearing them down, and remind us who we are when we’ve forgotten.
On a softball team, those kinds of teammates can change an entire season. In life, they can change a heart.
As followers of Christ, we’re called to be that friend. Someone who chooses kindness, speaks life, and shows up when it’s inconvenient. That’s what We > Me looks like. It’s putting others before ourselves, just as Jesus has always done for us.
Today, don’t just ask who your true friends are. Ask yourself if you’re becoming one.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the people You place in our lives to encourage us and walk beside us. Help us be the kind of friend who reflects Your love in both good times and hard times. Teach us to lift others up, show compassion, and always choose encouragement over criticism. Let our teams and our lives be known for faith, unity, and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Someone else’s win doesn’t take away from yours.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” – Romans 12:15 (NIV)
Softball teaches us a lot about competition, but this verse teaches us something even greater—community.
Can you celebrate when a teammate gets the starting spot? Can you be genuinely happy when someone commits to their dream school? Can you sit beside a teammate who’s struggling and simply be there for them?
The world tells us to compare ourselves to everyone around us. God calls us to care for the people around us.
A strong team isn’t built on jealousy or selfishness. It’s built on celebrating each other’s victories and carrying each other’s burdens. That’s what We > Me looks like.
Some days you’ll be the one celebrating. Other days you’ll need someone to encourage you through disappointment. Either way, God calls us to show up for one another.
When we choose joy for others and compassion for those hurting, we reflect the heart of Christ.
Prayer:
Lord, help us celebrate the victories of others without comparison and comfort those who are hurting with love and compassion. Teach us to be teammates and friends who build others up and point people back to You. Amen.

🥎 Character shows up long before the final score does.
“This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.’” – Zechariah 7:9 (NIV)
Softball has a way of testing our hearts. There are tough losses, missed plays, frustrating calls, and moments when emotions can take over. In those moments, God calls us to something greater.
He tells us to be fair, show mercy, and have compassion for one another. That means encouraging a struggling teammate, respecting your opponents, and choosing kindness even when it’s difficult.
The strongest teams aren’t always the most talented—they’re the ones that care for each other, lift each other up, and put We > Me into action. When we lead with compassion, we play the game differently because our faith becomes bigger than our frustrations.
Today, let your actions reflect Christ. Show grace. Speak kindness. Lead with compassion. You never know how much someone else needs it.
Prayer: Lord, help us to treat others with mercy and compassion today. Give us hearts that are kind, words that encourage, and the strength to honor You in the way we treat people on and off the field. Amen.

🥎✝️ Congratulations on your commitment!
To every girl chasing the recruiting dream: remember that God’s plan looks different for everyone. Some paths lead to big schools, some to small schools, and some to places you never expected.
Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. Pray, work hard, and trust where God is leading you.
The right school is the one God opens the door to. Keep walking in faith—He already knows your next step.

🥎 The Way You Treat Others Matters
Luke 6:31 (NIV)
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” — Luke 6:31
Every softball season is filled with moments that test our character. A bad call. A teammate struggling. Competition for playing time. A tough loss. A frustrating practice.
Jesus gives us a simple challenge: treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Want encouragement? Be encouraging.
Want respect? Show respect.
Want grace when you make mistakes? Give grace when others mess up.
The scoreboard may remember who won the game, but people remember how you treated them. The way you respond to teammates, opponents, and even difficult situations says a lot about your faith.
This verse reminds us that We > Me. A team becomes stronger when kindness, respect, and encouragement are part of its culture. When we choose to treat others with love and honor, we reflect Christ both on and off the field.
Prayer:
Lord, help us treat others the way You want us to. Give us patience when we’re frustrated, kindness when it’s hard, and the courage to lead by example. Let our words and actions point others to You, both in softball and in everyday life. Amen.

What are you known for when no one is watching?
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” — Proverbs 3:3
Talent may get you noticed, but character is what people remember.
In softball, it’s easy to be faithful when you’re winning, starting, or having a great weekend at the plate. It’s harder when you’re sitting the bench, struggling at practice, or facing adversity. That’s when love and faithfulness matter most.
Love means encouraging a teammate even when you’re frustrated. Faithfulness means showing up, working hard, and honoring God whether anyone sees it or not.
The best teams aren’t built on talent alone. They’re built on people who choose character over selfishness, We > Me, and faith over fear.
Don’t just wear your faith on your sleeve—write it on your heart. Let your actions on and off the field show the world who you belong to.
Prayer:
Lord, help us to be known for our love and faithfulness. Teach us to encourage others, stay committed when things get hard, and represent You well in every practice and every game. Write Your truth on our hearts so that our character points others to You. Amen.

huge THANK YOU to Damon Thompson and Jesus in the Circle for blessing our girls with these amazing player packs! ✝️🥎
The shirts are awesome, but even more special is being part of a community that points athletes back to Christ and reminds them that softball is about more than wins and losses.
Our girls were excited to wear them to practice today, and we’re grateful for organizations that pour into the next generation both on and off the field.
Thank you for supporting female athletes and helping keep faith at the center of the game. ❤️

🏆 You were created for more than stats and scoreboards.
“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.” – 2 Thessalonians 1:11
Every player has dreams. Maybe it’s making varsity, earning a starting spot, winning a championship, or one day playing in college. But this verse reminds us that God isn’t only interested in where we’re going—He’s interested in who we’re becoming along the way.
The work you put in when no one is watching matters. The way you encourage a teammate matters. The way you respond after a strikeout, an error, or a tough loss matters. God has called each of us to something bigger than ourselves, and He gives us the strength to live that calling out every day.
On the softball field, it’s easy to chase personal success. But the best teams understand We > Me. And the strongest athletes know that when fear and doubt creep in, it’s always Faith > Fear.
Don’t just ask God to bless your goals. Ask Him to shape your heart, guide your actions, and use your gifts for His glory. The dreams He placed inside you can become something beautiful when they are fueled by faith and surrendered to Him.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving each of us a purpose and a calling. Help us to live in a way that honors You both on and off the field. Give us the strength to pursue our dreams with faith, humility, and perseverance. Use our talents to encourage others and bring glory to Your name. Amen.

The way you treat people says a lot about the condition of your heart.
📖 Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Softball is full of emotions. There are tough losses, errors, disagreements, and moments when teammates or coaches may let us down. It’s easy to hold onto frustration or respond with anger.
But this verse reminds us that kindness and forgiveness are different. They require strength.
The best teams aren’t made up of perfect people. They’re made up of people who choose grace over grudges, encouragement over criticism, and forgiveness over bitterness.
A kind word in the dugout can change someone’s entire game. A forgiving heart can heal a broken relationship. Compassion builds trust, and trust builds strong teams.
As followers of Christ, we’re called to treat others the same way Jesus treats us—with mercy, patience, and love.
On and off the field, remember this: We > Me. A team grows stronger when its people choose kindness, even when it’s difficult.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help us to be kind, compassionate, and quick to forgive. Guard our hearts from bitterness and teach us to love others the way You love us. Help us build teams and relationships that reflect Your grace. Amen.
#FaithAndFastpitch #FaithOverFear #Ephesians432 #ChooseKindness #WeGreaterThanMe
🏆 What takes first place in your heart?
📖 Matthew 22:37
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’”
Softball can take a lot of our time, energy, and emotions. We celebrate big wins, hurt after tough losses, and spend countless hours chasing our goals. But Jesus reminds us that nothing should come before our relationship with Him.
Loving God with all our heart means trusting Him in every inning. Loving Him with all our soul means remembering our identity is found in Christ, not in batting averages or awards. Loving Him with all our mind means keeping our thoughts focused on His truth instead of fear, pressure, or comparison.
The game is a gift, but God is the Giver.
When we put Him first, we play with greater joy, compete with greater purpose, and realize that our value isn’t determined by the scoreboard. That’s what Faith > Fear looks like. And when an entire team keeps Christ at the center, We > Me becomes more than a motto—it becomes a way of life.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help us love You with all our heart, soul, and mind. Keep You at the center of our lives, our families, and our teams. Teach us to trust You more than our circumstances and to honor You in everything we do. Amen.
