@okonovich11558@JohnsmithIIIIW You act like having Shaq was the key to winning. Why did Shaq get swept in 98 with THREE all-star teammates? If it was as easy as just having Shaq, he wouldn't have been swept in 98 AND 99. And you know damn well why Kobe didn't play in the 04 Olympics...
Imagine seeing this in the playoffs today and someone trying to convince you that Kobe Bryant was carried. It would be just as ridiculous as it was back then...
@MrFinesse352003@auronidisclaim Ahh, excuse me. That was what the goal post moving gif was. For some reason I read playoffs, I guess because I didn't expect you to be so "delayed or held back in terms of progress, development, or accomplishment" that you would need to move the goal post to finals series...
And trying to force feed Shaq all game didn't help Kobe's scoring at all. If the offense would've ran through Kobe instead, Shaq would've still got his and it would've allowed Kobe to get into a rhythm sooner, instead of mostly having to wait until the 4th quarter to start turning it on.
Are you just ignorant on purpose or do you think it helps your case? Read the comments under my last post. Plenty of people think that way. And again, if Shaq helped Kobe score, Kobe wouldn't have scored more without him on the floor. As a matter of fact, there was a graphic during a playoff game that showed Kobe scoring with magnitudes better efficiency in the 4th quarters than he did in first three playing with Shaq and I know you've seen that video where Sam Jones was questioning whether Jordan would've become the player he did had he come up with a Shaq type player. Shaq was a hindrance to Kobe's scoring, not a benefit. He was 300+ pound and could only operate in the paint. That means him, his defender, and whatever double teams that did come were all in the paint. What would've helped Kobe would be taking defenders out of the paint, not adding them...
