Right now, "Black TikTok" is heavily promoting Black-owned businesses, especially nail salons and hair and beauty products, and I love it.
I want to live in a world where every dollar that enters our community touches six or seven hands before it leaves. Imagine the wealth, opportunity, and stability we could build for ourselves if we made that a reality. What a wonderful world that would be.
I am a firm believer in the saying, "It is better to be feared than loved." We, as Black people, have literally provided the world with the blueprint for resistance. I want all Black people, whether African, American, or Caribbean, to understand that we cannot continue extending empathy beyond our own communities while receiving nothing but apathy in return. Our salvation lies in unity.
@LynnGedeon M reyalize tout moun k'ap kritike pòs sa se moun ki pa gen okenn ide e ki pa janm viv ozetazini. Antouka, mw kite video sa la, sak ka konprann... bigup.
Spare us the PR speech!
Open more roads? That statement implies you've already opened some. Which roads?
Haitians have been hearing promises, press releases, and victory speeches for years while entire communities remain trapped by insecurity, gang control, and fear.
You talk about progress. Many Haitians see civilians suffering, families displaced, businesses destroyed, and a nation being treated like an experiment by foreign actors who will never have to live with the consequences of their decisions.
Haiti is not a playground for contractors, consultants, mercenaries, or political opportunists. It is the homeland of Dessalines, Christophe, and Capois-La-Mort.
I refuse to believe that a nation that defeated Napoleon lacks the men and women capable of saving itself.
If innocent civilians have been harmed under operations you supported, then one day there must be accountability. History eventually catches up with everyone.
Haitians will remember who stood with them, and who profited while they suffered.
In the mean time, enjoy sycophant @citoyendidier's tongue 👅 in your ass.
I was just in Haiti. This is not the end, or even the beginning of the end, but definitely the end of the beginning. (Paraphrasing Churchill) Progress is being made. It is definitely better than when we started, with Haiti on the verge of total collapse a year ago. Stay tuned as we work with the Haitian Government to open more roads and remove the scourge of gang control.
Si yon moun poko janm pase pou pi piti 5 ane ap viv ozetazini, mwen pa kwè li kapab fè okenn komantè nan sa dam nan di a. Vin pase kèk jou ozetazini ak viv Ozetazini pa menm.
Lè @LynnGedeon di "byen viv" mwen pa kwè li pale de ekstravagans. 7 machin, 2 chato, yon pis pou avyon desann nan lakou'l. Mwen rete kwè li vle di yon ijans lopital pap lakoz moun nan bankrupt konparativman ak yon moun k'ap viv etazini.
Fair point regarding the grammar.
What fascinates me, however, is how often people confuse knowledge with wisdom. Knowledge explains a rule. Wisdom knows how to explain it without diminishing someone else.
Grammar can be learned in an afternoon. Character usually takes much longer!
@LynnGedeon@Tyroro_13 Mwen pa kwè yon moun ki gen eksperyans Ayiti sèlman oubyen ozetazini sèlman ap janm rive konprann ou Lynn. Gen yon patnè'm k'ap fè $1000 US pa mwa Ayiti, anpil fwa se li ki jere kèk bagay pou mwen epi mw peyel aprè.
@thethoughone Mwen pap defann yo non, men mwen pa panse yo te kapab fè anyen nan ka sa paske fok yo te rete tann lis final moun antrené tap chwazi yo, ke li fè sèlman lòtjou. 😟 😨
