@n4tth5 @biggestjoel Your not wrong, from figures I've seen openai threw between 2m and 22m dollars at this problem, my argument is that is if the training data got them most of they way there that they could brute force it with that amount of compute

@n4tth5 @biggestjoel I mean it depends on who you believe openai or the researchers, I saw that the researchers claim using openai models to help write there papers (I believe this is dumb) or if they were using ai to come up with mathematical solutions (from my knowledge of llms this is impossible)

@biggestjoel I presume you've seen the controversy around that one that makes me think that most of the work to solve the problem ended up in the training data so I'm not sure it's a novel solution and more monkey typewriters
