I genuinely think the AfD is almost frighteningly close to getting into federal government but at the same time is vastly lacking in institutional power and since we have as of now neither big corporations or billionaires willing to sponsor and guard as; the only shield is the party itself and thus essentially state power and money; and I think we need a better institutional power base (NGOs, think tanks, lobby groups; etc); also 130 et al is a constant damocles sword and thus having control over at least one state prosecution (and if need be even power to pardon) would help us enormously

For this we need anyways: a) get as much state seats as possible; b) have in a at best supermajority of states the potential of such coalitions; c) get if possible at least one state government beforehand as political safe haven (for purposes of organising, avoiding prosecutions, etc)

@turincomplete @eugyppius1 But without at least coalition potential in state governments, how are you to enforce federal policies? Most of German bureaucracy happens at the state level, organized by state laws, officials employed by state governments
