@Anthony69307784@welp_max Depending on the time scale we're considering, 100% of all the energy on Earth comes from the sun. It's the only input to our system on a planetary scale. That's why fossil fuels are nuts, it's just adding 100 million years of accumulated solar energy back into the system.
Found this moment of motion fun when working on my design lab header. I accidentally pinched to zoom and liked what I saw. It made me start working to implement tile size controls.
... matter any more in digital experiences is interactivity and intuitively (is that a word?). We should make digital spaces feel real, instead of the other way around.
Gut feeling predictions for the future of design: we're so close to AI generation being perfectly photo realistic for photo, video, audio, etc that I can see a future where no one ever believes the veracity of what they see in any digital environment. The only thing that will...
...their active input is creating the content they're experiencing, instead of passively watching it happen. Stay tuned for more (as soon as my @claudeai limit resets).
https://t.co/G2Y2gVeG2Q. First step to a finished portfolio is a place to catalogue all of my experiments.
In a world where any content can be generated with a prompt, we have to rethink novelty. My bet for the future is on interactive design that makes the user feel like...
I made another new toy! Playing around with something less practical and more experimental, this tool lets you control light as it bounces off of mirrors and refracts through prisms. Play around with it, make something cool and show me! https://t.co/ODIaO6fPJM
Instead of paying my lawyers to sift through this garbage, I jumped into Claude to create a simple timeline to help visualize and after a few hours I had something that was kinda cool. The trick to designing with LLMs is to not let them think for you, but only to work for you.
New design experiment: using Claude to clean and organize a years worth of messages between 5 people across multiple email and text chains, with a dynamic scrolling timeline and multiple color options. https://t.co/R6Z1fGfZ3S
This file is dummy data, but in my real life I needed to combine a year long, 159 page email chain with multiple different text threads. One of the email chain participants had quote replies on, so after a year there would be chunks of a dozen pages at a time of just signatures.
I think I'm going to use this to catalogue fun or interesting interactions that I find , like this one from https://t.co/Keh2mo326i. If you scroll a little or kinda slow itll recenter, but if you scroll a lot it like clicks over to the next one. It’s fun balancing the scroll.
Time to get a real job again which means time to rebuild my portfolio which means time to learn something new. I'm leaning towards @Framer and @splinetool , so this is my first few hours with their Hana 2D animation tool. https://t.co/3ZX4IZ0dqS
@MayorShengThao my car has been stolen twice from Oakland streets in the last 4 months. Tonight, I have spent 16 minutes on hold waiting for 911 to pick up the phone, and over 45 minutes now without an answer on the non-emergency number.
